The MacKillop Farm Management group has reached its twentieth year of driving innovation, productivity and profitability in the field of primary industry research.
The group will celebrate its achievement with a dinner at the Naracoorte Town Hall on Friday, June 22.
The group wants to bring its members, sponsors and collaborators together to peruse over historic photos and engage with a roving mic MC who will chat with members attending.
Since its inception in 1998, the MFMG has remained at the forefront of delivering new and interesting information to its members.
It began with just 15 members based in the high rainfall zone of the South East region and numbers have since grown to more than 350 people, as expansion into the Tatiara region and inclusion of livestock research occurred.
The first cropping trials were conducted in 1999 and this number has steadily increased to around 25.
MFMG chair Louise Stock said the world of operating agricultural businesses and farming systems groups has changed over the last two decades.
“What has remained consistent is the commitment of our members to constantly improve what they do and the group’s vision to support them in that quest,” she said.
“Thank you to our members and sponsors who give so much support.”
