ALL the snaps from sales held SA and western Vic yards in March.

Mick Banning, Kingston, bought nine light Pitlochry-blood Hereford heifers, 213kg, at $390 or $1.83/kg at Naracoorte.

Robert Bennett, Karawinna, Vic, and Ron Marks, Ouyen, Vic at the Ouyen saleyards.

Heath Tiller, HB Rural, Warnertown, and Landmark's Richard Miller bought 207 steers and heifers at Naracoorte, with weights from 272-391kg.

Elders Mildura's Kelvin Fitzgerald on the rails with the rest of the team at Ouyen, Vic.

Thomas Foods International buyer Matt Heinrich with Henry and Heath Tiller, HB Rural, Warnertown, who were both buying feeder cattle at the Naracoorte store market.

Regular Ouyen, Vic, vendors Piers Farnsworth, Underbool, Vic, and Geoff Vine, Ouyen. Mr Vine sold 84 crossbred lambs at Ouyen, with 50 sold for $207 and 34 sold for $204.

At Jamestown were Rachael Hilder, Cradock, holding her son Archie, who at eight months old was attending his first sheep sale, Elders Real Estate Jamestown agent Nick Redden, Andrew Hilder, Cradock, and Landmark auctioneer Don Cullen.

Shearing contractor Jeff Dorset, Rotorua, New Zealand, was visiting Jamestown to see how the wethers his team had shorn for Jumbuck Pastoral sold. Jeff Dorset Shearing shore 65,000 sheep for Jumbuck across 38 days.

At Mount Gambier were MWJ Kingston's Mike Newton with clients Grant, James and Keith Higgins, Patanga Pastoral, Avenue Range, who sold 96 Shorthorn steers to $1240. 

At Mount Gambier Patanga Pastoral's 10-11 month old Shorthorns and Charolais-Shorthorn steers averaged 396.5 kilograms and averaged $2.96/kg.

At Mount Gambier Kent Properties, Canunda, topped the unmated heifer section with these Speckle Park heifers at $1200.

At Mount Gambier Kaye Considine, Considine Brothers, Tantanoola (with agent O'Connor & Graney's Garry Graney) dispersed her 115 PTIC Hereford females for a $1516 av.

At Mount Gambier was Yvonne Johns, Millanda Estate, Mil Lel, with her $1260 steers.

Grant Broadhurst and his grandson Cooper Broadhurst, 4, sold 16 8-10-month-old Dorper lambs at Mount Pleasant.

Len Owen, Harrogate, near Mount Torrens, looked at the quality offering of steers at Mount Pleasant.

Regulars Mount Pleasant market attendees Paul and Claire Jaench, Mount Barker.

Waiting for the Ouyen, Vic, sale to start were drovers Kevin Spencer, O’Sullivans Transport, and Ross McKane, Conbar Transport.

Dennis Shodde, Lone Pine Pastoral, Sea Lake, Vic, had crossbreds make $160 at Ouyen, Vic.

Frank "Moggy" Stone, Torrita, Vic, had crossbreds make $167 at Ouyen, Vic.

Checking out the cattle at the Mount Pleasant breeders and weaners sale were Rachel Van Dissel, Springton, and her son Charlie, 3.

Greg Henke, Flaxman Valley, and Trevor Kassebaum, Tanunda, at Mount Pleasant. Mr Kassebaum sold heifers for $590 and steers to $600.

Rosemary Wenske, Mount Torrens, sold steers to $1300 and heifers to $780 at the Mount Pleasant breeders and weaners sale.
