Stock Journal’s inaugural Beef Week is rapidly approaching, with more than 70 studs set to open their gates across four days from February 2 to 6.
The 84-page preview, which has been inserted in this week’s paper, is a great guide to each of the participating studs and can help producers with their bull buying decisions.
South East Angus breeder Ben Glatz said it was an “automatic decision” to be involved after supporting the SA Beef Field Days for the past decade.
“The open day is undoubtedly the widest reaching platform to promote our annual on-property Cattleman’s Bull Sale on February 14,” he said.
“The SA Beef Field Days had been conducted extremely well for more than 40 years but the new format offers a new-look event offering wide exposure for participants in our region.”
Mr Glatz said the good seasonal conditions, along with a long-awaited rise in returns, had been a great reward for cow and calf producers who had stuck with beef production.
