THERE were 9584 sucker lambs, 2058 lambs and 3910 mutton yarded at Ouyen, Vic, on Thursday last week.
The market tended to be $5 to $10 cheaper, given the lighter condition of lambs and the dry conditions.
Some pens of heavy lambs still sold well with a top price at $169. Store lambs made from $89 to $110, trades from $105-$133 and exports $128-$169.
Topping the sale was DJ&SL Barry, Chinkapook, with 60 lambs at $169, and IW&JK Marshall, Ouyen, with 34 at the same price.
SA vendors selling crossbred sucker lambs were Wegner Bros, Karoonda, with 99 at $153 and P&M Carling, Parrakie, with 108 at $153.
Light Merinos made $85-$97 and heavies from $97-$103.
Heavy mutton made $90-$115 and lights from $81-$95.
