HILTON HEATH: Stud principal Wayne Fiebig, Sanderston, with one of his 22 rams that were on show at the field day. Eighty rams will be up for offer at the on-property sale on August 23. Four May/June drop rams will also go up for sale at the Adelaide Merino Ram Sale in September.  

WOODOONA: As a grandson of one of the Karoonda and Districts field day's founders, co-principal Nick Wood and Hayden Zander, Borrika, continued the family tradition this year. On display were 16 large-framed rams that are in the draft of 80 April - May drop lots up for auction on August 10. Two rams will also be sold at the Classings Classic sale at Murray Bridge. 

KAMORA PARK: Co-principal Wade Boughen, Kamora Park stud, Sandalwood, helped visitors Philippa Kneebone, KI and Ron Cox, Gem Ridge, KI, inspect KP326, one of the first sons of an $18,000 ram sold by the stud in 2015. It held an 18.5-micron and 99.8 per cent comfort factor. The stud's on-property sale will offer 194 rams on August 4. 

CARCUMA NORTH: Co-principal Carolyn Johnson, Carcuma North Poll Merino stud, Peake, and commercial producer Glenn Loffler, Mannum, inspected stud reserve, sired by Apollo 22. On show were the stud's top eight rams that went up for auction at the on-property sale held on August 2. 

BUNYARA: Bunyara Merino and Poll Merino stud, Moculta, co-principal, Ian Koch, and father Rex, with one of the 10 rams showcased at the Karoonda and Districts Field Day. It won the ram lamb pair competition at Burra in March and held a 99.9 per cent comfort factor. The stud's annual on-property sale will be held on September 14 with 80 rams going under the hammer. 
 

SHERLOCK: Commercial producer Neil Daniell, Port Giles, inspected co-principal Wes Titley, Sherlock Poll Merino stud, Sherlock, August/September drop ram that held a 19.2-micron fleece and a 99.7 comfort factor. The stud's on-property sale will be held on August 15 with 120 lots up for auction. 

GUNALLO: Ray Schroeder and son Brad, Gunallo Poll Merino stud, Pinnaroo, with one of the eight rams that will be offered at the Classings Classic in September. It held a 99.9 per cent comfort factor and 18.5-micron fleece. The stud will offer 90 April-drop rams at the annual on-property sale on August 31. 

KAMORA NETLEY PARK: Brian and Alex Ling, Mt Benson, Kingston S.E, inspected a grandson of sire PB001 that was bought for $50,000 in 2011, with Kamora Netley Park, Sandalwood, stud principal, and Karoonda and Districts Field Day president Justin Boughen. A draft of 230 April-drop rams will go under the hammer at the stud's on-property sale on August 4. 

SWM: Stud principal Richard Harkness, Superior Wool Merino, Tintintara, and Eden Valley commercial producer David Woodward, inspected a sale ram that held a 17.2-micron fleece and a 100 per cent comfort factor. The stud's annual on-property sale will be held on September 1. 


RIDGWAY ADVANCE: Bordertown stud, Ridgeway Advance, displayed 14 rams at the field day in preparation for the on-property sale on August 16. Devon Ridgway, Grady Obst and David Ridgeway, will put 150 May/June drop rams up for auction. Twenty of the stud's top rams will be offered at the Classings Classic at Murray Bridge, the largest offering from one vendor. 



PEPPER WELL: Stud principal Hansi Graetz, Pepper Well Poll Merino stud, Keyneton, displayed 12 March to June drop rams. Elders Victor Harbour, Tom Penna and Landmark Fawcett, Ashley Fawcett, Mount Pleasant, also inspected one of Mr Graetz's paddock raised rams that are suited for an easy-care commercial operation. The stud's on-property sale will be held on August 29, offering 40 lots. 


LUCERNBRAE: Focused on producing a low-micron fleece to suit clients at the on-property sale on August 3 were Lucernbrae Merino stud principal Keith Paech and farm-hand apprentice Jarrod Craven, Rockleigh. Sixty April drop rams will be on offer, with lots also heading to the Classings Classic at Murray Bridge.  


RIDGWAY: Co-principal Matthew Ridgway, Kulkami, showcased eight April-June drops rams that have an annual average wool cut of 9 kilograms. A total of 160 rams will be sold at the Classings Classic sale at Murray Bridge, Hamilton Sheepvention and on-property sale on August 14. 


RADNOR:  Stud principal Steve Koehler, Langhorne Creek, (middle) shows visitors Leslie Brewer, Strathalbyn, Greg Tynan and Richard Hand, both of Yumali,the stud's 2016 Royal Adelaide Show supreme Merino fleece. Radnor will offer 90 rams at its  annual on-property sale on August 11. 

RAMSGATE: Pinkerton Palm Hamlyn&Steen's  Paul Kinnaird, Pinnaroo and Ramsgate principal Jed Keller, Tintinara inspect the 10 rams on display. On-show were two standout rams selected for the Classings Classic at Murray Bridge in September and some of the lots in the on-property sale on August 15.
