ADELAIDE played host to 36 of agriculture’s young high achievers on Thursday, with the Rabobank Farm Managers Program graduation dinner held at Jolleys Boathouse.
The program aims to equip up-and-coming farmers with the skills to run the family business or manage a commercial farm, with graduates hailing from across Australia and New Zealand.
Rabobank 2015 Emerging Leader Zac Caudo, Caudo Vineyard, Waikerie, was guest speaker, detailing how his family business evolved during a time of low grape prices and drought in the Riverland.
His family were grapegrowers, before setting up a cellar door at Hogwash Bend near Waikerie to showcase their own products.
Stock Journal’s PAULA THOMPSON joined the celebration.
