THE sold-out Australian Stockman's Hall of Fame annual Bushman's Breakfast last Tuesday at the Adelaide Festival Centre was a great success, showing again why this event has become a must-do before a day at the cricket.
People came from far and wide to catch up and enjoyed a two course breakfast and entertainment by Scott McBain, Les Burdett, Darren Lehmann, Peter McIntyre, Sam Parkinson and Rob Kerin.
More than $15,000 was raised for the Australian Stockman's Hall of Fame with part proceeds donated to Men's Health SA and Variety.
Crowd numbers have more than doubled since the first Bushman's Breakfast at the Adelaide Rowing Club three years ago. After the breakfast guests wandered "across the creek" to watch day two of the Test Match between India and Australia.
Guest speakers included Chairman of the Australian Stockman's Hall of Fame Board David Brook.
"It was great to see bushies and their city counterparts gather from as far north as Birdsville, as far south as Mt Gambier and anywhere in between to catch up prior to day two of the test. We look forward to the continued success of the Bushman's Breakfast."
The Hall received immense support in donating auction and raffle items from South Australian companies including Lion, Bundaleer Wines, Zee Tags, T Bar Haigh's Chocolates, Team Poly, Total Tools, Light Force, Smart Bar, Landmark, Eastern Desert Art, Peter McDonald, Peter Lehmann Wines, Prairie Hotel, Flinders Ranges & Outback Air Chelsea Massage, Desert Cave, Umoona Mine & Museum, Australian 3PL, Pangkarra Pasta and Bob Napier. The ASHOF would also like to thank the Lion, Bundaleer Wines, Zee Tags, T Bar & Festival Centre Catering for their support in product, time and effort, to help produce an outstanding event.
