IT was the battle of two Vic studs in the Royal Adelaide Show Beef Shorthorn judging, well and truly won by Lake Boga breeder Scott Bruton's Roly Park stud.
His standout exhibit was the rising 2.5-year-old Roly Park Kevin, grand champion bull for the second year in a row.
Judge Roger Evans, Tamworth, NSW, said Kevin was very free with his movement around the ring.
"He has the ability to lay down some fat and pass that through to his progeny," Mr Evans said.
"He is going to breed some good cattle in the future."
The bull was true to type.
"He is an easy-doing bull with good testicular development," he said.
Mr Evans said the junior bull Roly Park's Roly Park Joe had a long body with tremendously sound structure.
Roly Park's Roly Park Heaven was grand champion female ahead of junior champion female Roly Park Annabel.
