STUD breeders reported buoyant interest on day two of Stock Journal Beef Week, with some studs selling out of their full offering before lunch and others enjoying strong enquiries.
The annual beef showcase commenced in the Mid North and Yorke Peninsula on Friday before moving on to the Adelaide Hills, Fleurieu Peninsula and Riverland.
For the next two days it will head to the Lower South East and Upper South East, with more than 70 studs, across 10 breeds, opening their farm gates.
Beef Week gives seedstock breeders the opportunity to showcase their bulls ahead of the on-property sales season, which agents say is once again likely to bring excellent prices and clearance rates.
For commercial producers, the event provides a chance to inspect the offering from multiple studs, enabling them to make more informed purchasing decisions in the weeks ahead.
