TEYS Australia has extended the hand to employees of Thomas Foods International after a fire swept through TFI’s Murray Bridge plant last week.
In a statement, the company said its thoughts were with the staff and management at TFI.
“We wish them a speedy recovery,” it said.
Teys has responded by making positions available at its Naracoorte plant in order to take as many TFI employees as possible during this time.
”The meat processing industry is based on production and this fire means that many Thomas Foods workers will not have regular income until the company's plant is back in production,” it said.
“Teys Australia stands beside our industry colleagues at Thomas Foods and is available to assist in any way we can.”
Employees interested in working at Teys until their plant resumes processing can contact Teys Australia on 08 7320 1428.
