Agriculture, fishing, aquaculture and farm forestry organisations can access up to $60 million to put in place innovative land management.
Through Landcare’s Smart Farming Partnerships, organisations and individuals can apply for grants of between $250,000 to $4m for sustainable land management practices to protect and improve soil condition, vegetation and biodiversity.
Member for Barker Tony Pasin said this could help support the development, trialing and implementation of next generation practices in farming, forestry and fishing.
“These partnership grants will get behind larger projects and support the formation of relevant and effective partnerships between experienced and skilled organisations and individuals,” he said.
“The grants will help groups of organisations to come up with, or take advantage of the next great idea, the benefits of which can be shared across the community and the world.”
Applications close December 21.
