Last weekend’s Keith & Tintinara District Show highlighted the area’s good season with a great display of standing crops and wool.
The gate takings were down slightly due to the show falling in the middle of school holidays, but the crowd of 1800 people had plenty to see and do.
Entertainment included a freestyle motorbike show from XTREME Trials, balloonist and escape artist Jace Wonders, lawn mower racing and a speed shear competition.
The 2017 SA Young Rural Ambassador Lachy Johnson, Bordertown, opened the show, assisted by Keith’s Rural Ambassador Dean Coddington and Young Rural Ambassador Amelia Edson.
The show’s theme was Technology in Agriculture and included a drone display from ARAG Australia’s Jeremy Angel.
Numbers in the yard dog competition were well up with 18 handlers and 64 dogs put through their paces.
