Crossbred lambs to $192
Mutton to $118
THERE were 7791 sucker lambs, 1299 older lambs and 1658 mutton sold at Ouyen on Thursday last week.
Heavy suckers were firm to slightly cheaper, light lambs were cheaper and mutton held firm.
Export crossbred lambs made from $160 to $192 or $5.60 a kilogram to $6/kg and trade weights sold from $135-$170 or $5.90-$6.30/kg.
Store lambs made from $82-$90, while heavy Merinos made $70-$91.
Looking at mutton, light types made $60-$80 or $2.20-$2.60/kg and heavies $90-$118 or $2.80-$3/kg.
Ferguson/Hannig, Walpeup, Vic, topped the market with 108 lambs at $192. The same vendor also 55 mutton at $115. Selling sucker lambs was D Dutschke, Karoonda, with 124 at $175.
