Woodoona Poll Merino stud held their second on-property sale at Borrika today, and doubled last year's top price.
It was a quality draft of 80 rams offered, with 66 sold to return and new buyers.
The sale topped $4800, averaging $1404.
The top price ram B235, was knocked down to return buyers of 40 years, Robert and Anne Simcock, Tailem Bend.
It boasted fleece figures of 19.7 micron, 3.4 standard deviation, 17.3 coefficient of variation and 99.5 per cent comfort factor.
The Simcock family bought six rams to $4800, averaging $2950.
The Simcocks also bought the second-highest price ram for $3600.
Keilira Proprietors, Kingston SE, bought 10 rams to $1800 for a $1020 average.
