REDUCED numbers of 2552 lambs and 974 mutton at Ouyen, Vic, on Thursday, July 13, meant prices were firm to $5 dearer on the previous sale.
Export crossbred lambs made $163 to $198 or $5.90-$6.10/kg, trades from $124-$175 or $5.80-$6.30/kg and stores from $118-$132 or $5.30-$5.70/kg.
Topping the crossbred lambs was N&F Hamilton, Ouyen, 54 at $198.
Also selling crossbreds were Towk Bros, Ouyen 10 at $186, Peter Lonergan, Kiamal, Vic, 88 at $183, W Schultz, Mittyack, Vic, 21 at $182, D&J Jonasson, Cowangie, Vic, 26 at $177 and Elliott Rural Farms, Torrita, Vic, 48 at $168.
Bunstan and Nicholl, Linga, Vic, had 33 crossbred sucker lambs make $133.
Looking at mutton, light types made $4-$4.40/kg and heavies $3.70-$4.20/kg.
Lameroo vendors selling mutton included R&D Nuske, Lameroo, with 71 at $124 and L&R Gregurke, 79 at $116.
Burta Station, via Broken Hill, NSW, had 137 mutton make $130.
Selling Merino lambs were C&G Young, Patchewollock, Vic, 21 at $155 and L,B,K&T Schultz, Pinnaroo, 19 at $145.
Lameroo vendor J Beckmann topped the Dorper lamb section with 53 at $159.
Also selling Dorper lambs were L Harmer, Mildura, Vic, 75 at $155, S&H Grant, Manangatang, Vic, 23 at $148, P&J Rundle, Lameroo, 42 at $137 and A&L Baird, Wentworth, NSW, 37 at $143.
