Penola hosted the South East & Border Show Association’s Rural Ambassador and Young Rural Ambassador awards dinner last weekend.
Kate Fairlie, Mount Gambier and Daniel Ryan,Lucindale were chosen to represent the region at the state finals, at the Royal Adelaide Show, in September.
In the 16 to 19-year-old Young Rural Ambassador category, the representatives chosen were Ella Kain, from Penola and Lachlan Johnson from Mundulla Show.
Stock Journal’s CATHERINE MILLER was one of the judges, with SA Country Shows senior vice president Francis Andrews, Mundulla and Peter Muller, Penola.
