AN annual celebration of the state’s dairy produce has been postponed until 2017.
Organisers of CheeseFest, which marked its 10th year last year, announced the event would not be going ahead for 2016, due to the extension of O-Bahn through the usual site at Rymill Park on the city’s east.
Last night organisers posted a message on the event’s Facebook page about the decision.
“With the park being such an important part of our festival, allowing for picnics and children to take part, we will save the event until next year,” it read.
“Thank you to all our amazing cheese lovers for being a part of CheeseFest for 10 brilliant years, we think we have grown into an amazing festival and one that is loved by so many.
“See you in 2017 for a bigger, newer and better festival.”
