VITERRA has announced three new management appointments within its storage and handling operations business.
Jo Klitscher has been appointed operations manager for the Eastern Region, Jack Tansley has moved to the Central Region and James Murray to the Western Region.
“Jo, Jack and James all have extensive operations experience and a strong focus on building relationships with growers which will benefit their new regions and our business more broadly,” Viterra Group Operations manager Michael Hill said.
“Jo has been with the business for 17 years and was most recently operations coordinator for the Thevenard region on the Eyre Peninsula. She started her career at Wolseley and is looking forward to being back in the area where it all started and getting to know growers.
“Jack offers a wealth of knowledge to the Central Region after managing operations in the East since 2011. Prior to joining Viterra he was divisional manager for GrainCorp with responsibility for all southern operations, including the grain terminals of Geelong and Portland.
“Likewise, James brings significant experience to EP after managing the country and terminal operations in the Central Region for almost five years. Prior to joining Viterra, James was operations manager for GrainCorp in Vic and terminal manager in Qld.”
Mr Hill said it was pleasing that the roles were filled by internal applicants.
“We are one of the largest employers in regional SA and we have a strong focus on internal promotion,” he said.
“The knowledge and expertise of our people are critical to our business and our ability to provide a high level of service to our customers.”
The three operations managers have moved into their roles and will be busy in the coming months planning for harvest and meeting with growers in their respective regions.
