One of South Australia's premier properties, Kalabity Station, near the Victorian-South Australian border, has sold for between $5 million and $6m to a consortium of local graziers.
The Australian Financial Review reports that Kalabity, located outside Olary, 50km from the border, had been previously passed in at auction in May after a vendor's bid of $4.5m.
Elders state manager Peter Taylor negotiated the sale, which he said reflected the strong interestin valuable sheep grazing property.
The 185,600-hectare property can hold up to 25,000 dry sheep.
