STRATHALBYN
* Yarding: 1000
* Steers to $1320
* Heifers to $1035
IT DID not reach the heights of three weeks ago, but the Strathalbyn store cattle sale was still strong on Friday.
Elders Strathalbyn’s Danny Reynolds said the steers and heifers presented well.
He said prices held up in line with the market trend, with a good crowd of genuine buyers.
Landmark Strathalbyn’s Richard Snoswell said the majority of the cattle came from the Fleurieu Peninsula and Kangaroo Island, and sold to the Upper South East and locally.
“A lot of heavy cattle were sold off at recent markets so people are looking to replace these with younger cattle,” he said.
