THERE were 230 cattle yarded at the Mount Pleasant market on Thursday, October 19, with steers making to $1660.
Making the top-price was KH Rattei, Springton, for three steers.
D Trimboli, Virginia, made the second top-price for steers with a Hereford at $1500.
The best price for cows was made by H Kungel, Eden Valley, with two Angus at $1500.
Heifers made to $1400 for a Hereford from Birdwood Horseworks.
The top for milk-vealers was $1010 for a Murray Grey calf from CA Henschke & Co, Eden Valley.
Looking at sheep, 300 were sold with cross-breds making to $132, for 16 from J&M Teusner, Eden Valley.
AE Verrall, Eden Valley, sold 28 cross-breds at $130.
There was strong competition on store lambs and D Brown Pastoral, Eden Valley, sold 232 at $99, along with another 150 at $97.
