WOODBRIDGE White Suffolks, Tanunda, presented a high-quality line-up of rams despite low bidding at its 7th on-property sale on September 17.
Principals Bill and Penny Holmes sold 25 rams of the 31 offered.
The rams all had similar figures of fat and eye muscle depth.
"Their figures were very even and they have very good muscle and fat," Mrs Holmes said.
"Overall, there probably wasn't much difference in them, they were just a very even line-up."
Their consistency came from running three quality sires across the flock for the past three years to produce good young rams and ewes.
The quality of rams did have many interested bidders on the day, but buyers walked away with a bargain in a sale that averaged $858.
Shayne Willmott, Dunira Prime Lamb, Manoora, bought the top ram on the day for $1350.
The ram had a post-weaning weight of 14.8 with 0.7 fat, and eye muscle depth of 1, and a Lambplan 2020 ranking of 111.84.
Mr Willmott bought five rams, looking to strengthen the eye muscle in his own flock.
