South Australian Opposition Leader Isobel Redmond is refusing to step aside despite rumblings over her leadership and suggestions she should have taken Mary Jo Fisher's Senate seat.
"I believe I can do more," she said. "I would make a good senator but I will make an even better premier."
She said the suggestions were not a reflection on her leadership in "any shape or form".
A senior Liberal said: "You can't lead if people aren't lined up behind you, it's untenable."
