A MUCH smaller yarding of mixed quality, store condition calves sold to easing competition from a smaller group of agents, feeder and restocker buyers.
Prime vealers suitable for butchers were scarce, however store buyers bid consistently on the locallybred calves available at prices up to $30/hd easier than the previous week.
The Department of Correctional Services, Port Lincoln, sold six medium and heavyweight Murray Grey steer calves to $450 to average $410.83.
