Mt Gambier store prices stack up

GOOD DECISION: Roger Hunt, Warreanga, Donovans, was thrilled with prices for his 58 black baldy and Hereford steers which sold to a $820 high. Warreanga also topped the Hereford run with 19, 400kg Hereford steers making $795. He said it was a last-minute decision by his agent Sam O’Connor to send them to the store sale instead of the Wednesday prime market, and was “much better than he thought.”

VENDORS at the Mount Gambier combined agents monthly store cattle sale last Friday were grinning from ear to ear as prices jumped about $80 a head on the previous month.
