SA Livestock Exchange calf report - April 7
A MUCH larger yarding of store condition, mixedweight calves sold to solid competition provided by a large array of agents, feeder and restocker buyers.
The majority of the yarding consisted of calves that emanated from the pastoral country north of Port Augusta and were in forward store condition, they attracted only steady bidding.
Locally bred calves attracted more animated bidding.
CP & KW Simmonds, Cowell, sold four lightweight Murray Grey steers to $415 and averaged $406.25 and JM Shannon, Kapunda, sold four Murray Grey heifers to $390 to average $342.50.
