MOUNT Compass dairyfarmer and SA Dairyfarmer Association president David Basham has been elected to the Australian Dairy Farmers board as a business director.
He joins United Dairyfarmers of Victoria president Tyran Jones as a new director, replacing retired board members Chris Griffin and Peter Evans.
Simone Jolliffe, a board member with Dairy NSW, was re-elected to the ADF board after having fulfilled a casual vacancy.
ADF president Noel Campbell welcomed the new additions to the board, and thanked the outgoing directors for their service.
“Their vision and ideas will help ADF in its work to promote the interests and sustainable profitability of all Australian dairy farmers," Mr Campbell said.
The ADF Board is comprised of four farmer directors - Noel Campbell, Simone Jolliffe, David Basham and Tyran Jones - and independent director Anne Astin.
SADA rejoined ADF in October after a three year absence at the national body after a clash over the restructure of the board.
