HEAVIER lines of cattle made good money at the Naracoorte monthly store sale on Thursday last week but lighter lines represented value buying.
Pinkerton Palm, Hamlyn & Steen's Richard Harvie quoted the market as firm.
"It was a good yarding, considering the season, with a high percentage of spring-drop calves," he said.
"The market was solid on previous local store sales, with good demand from local producers and feedlotters.
"Lighter calves were good value for money."
