AN OUTSTANDING three and a half year old Charolais cow continued her enviable show ring record as the supreme exhibit in the feature breed showing.
The female, Airlie Rebecca G10F belonging to the McLachlan Group at Glenquarry, NSW had been numerous judges' top picks previously, including winning the supreme matron of Australia and part of the winning interbreed pair at the Ekka in Brisbane in 2013.
Judge Colin Rex from Armidale, NSW was equally impressed with the daughter of Suedois as his senior and grand champion female and finally supreme exhibit for her depth of body and width of topline, but also front end refinement.
"You have to appreciate the hindquarter on this female and what she can offer a bull breeding program without showing any signs of being coarse," he said.
Her maternal impact was evident in her two and a half-month old heifer calf sired by one of Airlie stud's lead show bulls.
He said it was a subjective decision to split the female from the bull with both capable of having a real impact on the Charolais breed.
In the final line-up Airlie stud were holding all the cards, also exhibiting the senior and grand champion bull.
Airlie Hirohito, the rising two-year-old had tremendous performance easily being the heaviest Charolais bull at 955 kilograms.
He also had an exceptional eye muscle area of 142 square centimetres and fat cover of 10mm P8 and 8mm rib fat.
