GLOBAL animal health and nutrition company Alltech is relocating its Australian headquarters from Melbourne to Roseworthy.
The move, which is planned to be completed by March 31, is part of Alltech’s plan to strengthen the company’s on-farm presence in Australia.
“Alltech is going on-farm, which is why we purchased Lienert Australia a few months ago," Alltech Asia-Pacific sales director Matthew Smith said.
"As we are now combining the two companies in Roseworthy, we will be in a better-than-ever position to directly support Australian farmers and the feed industry in general."
Alltech will be combining the Alltech Australia sales, marketing, administration and operations functions together with the Lienert Australia business based in Roseworthy.
The two businesses will be run from the same facilities, however, they will maintain their separate corporate identities with dedicated support staff.
Alltech Australia has been based in Dandenong, Vic, since 1997.
“Whilst Alltech is reluctant to leave the area, the move to utilise the existing Lienert logistics network facilitated through their four national operations facilities, provides a clearer and more effective way for Alltech solutions to get to the customers,” Mr Smith said.
